Dev update — what changed

New: rich boards, comment likes, and easier reading

Fresh updates just landed for the club:

  • Nicer writing on the boards — the bulletin board and the community board now use the same rich editor as stories: bold, italics, lists and more, with an easy, compact toolbar on phones.
  • Edit your board posts — pinned something and spotted a typo? You can now edit your own posts right on the board.
  • Bigger text while you type — every writing box has A− / A+ buttons so you can set a comfortable text size. Your choice is remembered on your device.
  • See who liked a story — tap the little faces next to the heart to see everyone who liked it.
  • Like comments too — comments now have their own hearts, you can see who liked them, and when a story's writer likes your comment it gets a "Liked by author" badge.
  • New: a feedback button — spot a bug or have an idea? Tap the little life-ring button in the bottom corner of any page to send a bug report or feature request straight to Isaac. You can attach a screenshot too.

General info/reminders!

-Prompt timing: A new prompt will be posted every 3 weeks, give or take a few days. It will be due two weeks from the day it’s posted. Though, you can post after the due date. That leaves one week to read and comment on what everyone else in the club has submitted! -Prompt suggestions: feel free to send me suggestions if there is a prompt you’d like the club to use. -Do we need a cool club name? -Webpage feedback: if there’s something you don’t like or wish we had, let me know and I will implement an adjustment asap.

Dev update — what changed

New on the club site: drafts, a community board, and more

Hi everyone! A handful of new things just landed on the club site: ✏️ Save drafts — not ready to share yet? Hit "Save draft" and your story stays private until you press Publish. You'll find your drafts waiting for you on the prompt page. 📌 Community board — there's a new Board page (look for "Board" at the top, or in the bar at the bottom on your phone). Anyone in the club can pin book suggestions, articles about writing, or anything else worth sharing. 🔢 Word counts — stories now show how many words they are, and you can watch the count tick up while you write. ✍️ Editing — you can edit a story after sharing it. It gets a small "Edited" tag, and anyone curious can still peek at the original version. 📄 PDFs — you can now attach a PDF to your story along with a picture, and clicking any attachment opens it up big so it's easy to read.
